This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist with a passion for working at a charity with a real purpose. Based in the Integrated Therapy Services (ITS) Team, this role will be a Palliative Physiotherapist.

About the role
Working as an autonomous Palliative Physiotherapist with the AHP Hospice team based at the Hospice. Assessing and treating patients in our physiotherapy gym, in our inpatient units (Basildon and Thurrock) running specialist groups including shortness of breath, fatigue, balance and drop in gym groups. There will also be some community visits too.
Salary: £12,875 to £16,395 per year (£31,325.42 to £39,868.98 full time equivalent)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time 15 hours per week
Location: On-site - Basildon and/or Thurrock Hospices and some community work
Other responsibilities include
- Working with rehabilitative support staff
- Working with our community nursing team to ensure a smooth transfer of expertise between nursing and AHP staff
- Flexibility to support patients to have a "one stop shop" experience with other Hospice services
- Good communication with colleagues, patients and relatives
- Collaborative attitude
- Being able to run various groups
About you
- You will need to have a valid UK drivers licence
- Access to a car for community visits
- Willingness to learn about palliative care
- Membership of CSP
- Membership of ACPOPC– desirable but not essential

Working alongside other healthcare providers, our specialist services are available at the hospice, out in the community or in a person’s place of residence. Together, we fulfil people’s choices at the end of their life.
We are a charity and the services we provide are free. We rely on voluntary income from local people to deliver the care they deserve.
