St Luke's Hospice are a local charity providing compassionate care to people whose illnesses are no longer curable. We promote dignity in dying and empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Corporate Fundraising professional with a passion for working at a charity with a real purpose. Based in the Corporate Fundraising Team, this role will support the Corporate Fundraising team with delivering it's key objectives.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate fundraising Officer to join a busy fundraising team. The successful candidate will implement an approved strategy which seeks to successfully engage many local businesses. You will have a demonstrable ability to work proactively, reactively and strive to ensure excellent stewardship. In addition you will identify, research and analyse activities resulting in increased income generation and raised awareness of the Hospice.
You will have experience of securing and managing successful charity of the year partnerships, sponsorship, matched funding, commercial participation and ensuring your time is managed effectively and efficiently.
Salary: £17,065 to £19,960 per year (£28,442 to £34,266 per year full time equivalent)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time 22.5 hours
Location: Thurrock Hospice
Other responsibilities include
- Internal Relationship Management and Communications - work effectively with the PR and Marketing team and the Database team to develop fundraising opportunities.
- Volunteer support - Identify opportunities for Volunteer opportunities within the Corporate team and recruit/support Corporate Volunteers
- Internal Processes - Keeping Hospice prospects using our CRM system.
About you
- You must be sympathetic to and able to project the philosophy and concept of St Luke's Hospice.
- You must have a passion of building new relationships with local businesses.
- You are driven to produce work at a high standard and promote quality in your communications.
- Previous experience in Corporate Fundraising is essential

Our care considers people’s medical, spiritual and emotional needs, including support for loved ones and carers. Anyone living in Basildon and Thurrock can call on us 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Working alongside other healthcare providers, our specialist services are available at the hospice, out in the community or in a person’s place of residence. Together, we fulfil people’s choices at the end of their life.
We are a charity and the services we provide are free. We rely on voluntary income from local people to deliver the care they deserve.
